In the Absolute Beginners class we usually play music from the early 1930's by the following orchestras: Canaro, Carabelli, Lomuto, Di Sarli and Orquesta Tipica Victor There are plenty of tunes to choose from that era. Here are a few to get you started : Orquesta Francisco Canaro - Pampa - Gloria - Tiempos Viejos - Cogote Orquesta Adolpho Carabelli - Cantando - Mi Refugio - Alma Orquesta Tipica Victor - El Choclo - Domingo Orquesta Francisco Lomuto - Bacán Fulero - Lagrimitas - Cicatrices We also frequently play instrumental tunes by Carlos di Sarli from the 1950's which have a much grander sound. Here are some examples that are good for those at the beginning of their tango journey: - El Choclo - El Once - Champagne Tango |
