This is a practical class where the fundamentals of tango argentino are taught. Class is followed by the Wednesday MIlonga (social dance) where you can practice your skills and meet our inclusive and welcoming tango community. *** PLEASE REGISTER for this course as we aim to achieve even numbers and places are limited. In the Absolute Beginners class we usually play music from the early 1930's by the following orchestras: Canaro, Carabelli, Lomuto, Di Sarli and Orquesta Tipica Victor There are plenty of tunes to choose from that era. Here are a few to get you started : Orquesta Francisco Canaro - Pampa - Gloria - Tiempos Viejos - Cogote Orquesta Adolpho Carabelli - Cantando - Mi Refugio - Alma Orquesta Tipica Victor - El Choclo - Domingo Orquesta Francisco Lomuto - Bacán Fulero - Lagrimitas - Cicatrices We also frequently play instrumental tunes by Carlos di Sarli from the 1950's which have a much grander sound.
